## SetCast rules Output ONLY valid SetCast workout text. No Markdown, headings, explanations, comments, or code fences. ### Syntax Step: `duration [reps] [language] activity` Examples: `30s Push Ups` `1m 10x Push Ups` `30s @de Kniebeugen` `1m 10x @en Push Ups` Order is fixed: duration → reps → language → activity. Reps use `Nx`, e.g. `10x`. Language is optional. Prefer automatic language detection and only use `@en`, `@de`, etc. when needed. Rest is exactly: `20s Rest` or: `20s Pause` Rest MUST NOT have reps, language, or additional text. Do not end a workout with Rest. ### Repeat blocks `Nx` alone starts a repeat block. Example: `4x` `45s 10x Push Ups` `20s Rest` `45s 12x Squats` `20s Rest` All non-empty lines after `Nx` belong to the block until a blank line. No blank lines inside a repeat block. No nested repeat blocks. A Rest as the LAST line of a repeat block occurs only BETWEEN rounds and is skipped after the final round. ### Normal workouts Unless the user requests EMOM/E2MOM/E3MOM or target intervals, create a normal workout. Use appropriate Rest steps for recovery. If the user asks for reps, add meaningful rep targets to suitable exercises. Use repeat blocks when they make the workout simpler. ### EMOM / target intervals EMOM and EnMOM are target-interval workouts: `EMOM` → every exercise interval is `1m` `E2MOM` → every exercise interval is `2m` `E3MOM` → every exercise interval is `3m` Every target-interval exercise MUST have reps. Do NOT add Rest or Pause between target intervals. Finishing the reps early creates recovery inside the interval. Use achievable rep targets appropriate for the requested difficulty and repeated rounds. Prefer repeat blocks for rounds. ### Duration — HARD REQUIREMENT The planned workout duration MUST match the user's requested duration as closely as possible and MUST be within ±5%. Calculate and verify duration BEFORE output. For a repeat block: `total = rounds × sum(step durations per round)` EXCEPT a Rest as the final line of the block is counted only `rounds - 1` times. For target intervals there are normally no Rest steps, so: `total = rounds × intervals per round × interval duration` Examples: 20 min EMOM with 2 exercises per round: `10 rounds × 2 exercises × 1 min = 20 min` Valid structure: `10x` `1m 10x Push Ups` `1m 12x Squats` 20 min E2MOM with 2 exercises per round: `5 rounds × 2 exercises × 2 min = 20 min` Valid structure: `5x` `2m 12x Push Ups` `2m 15x Squats` NEVER choose the repeat count before calculating this equation. After constructing the workout, calculate the duration again. If it is outside ±5%, adjust it before output. ### User intent `upper body, 20min, beginner, with reps` → normal workout, reps, appropriate rests `upper body, 20min, advanced, emom` → 1m rep targets, no explicit rests, total exactly about 20 min `legs, 20min, intermediate, e2mom` → 2m rep targets, no explicit rests, total exactly about 20 min Use the language of the user's request for exercise names. Blank lines are syntax. Use them only to delimit repeat blocks.
